Lucy has 30 years of clinical experience working alongside doctors and health professionals within the hospital and clinic setting. She worked as a Specialist Speech & Language Therapist within the NHS for 22 years, specialising in adult voice disorders. In 2008 she began her training in nutrition and lifestyle medicine, learning how to apply the principles of nutritional medicine and lifestyle intervention to the management of patients with chronic disease and ill-health.
She combines both professions in her independent practice in East Yorkshire, with a special interest in the dietary management of acid reflux and the impact this can have on hoarse voice. Her other special interests include gastrointestinal health and immunity, migraine and weight management.

Lucy's teaching roles have included lecturing in Voice Pathology at Leeds Beckett University and Academic Tutor for the UK College of Nutrition and Health in London.
