Lucy has 30 years of clinical experience working alongside doctors and health professionals within the hospital and clinic setting. She worked as a Specialist Speech & Language Therapist within the NHS for 22 years, specialising in adult voice disorders. In 2008 she began her training in Nutrition and Lifestyle Medicine, learning how to apply the principles of nutritional medicine and lifestyle intervention to the management of patients with chronic disease and ill-health.

In 2014 she graduated from the UK College of Nutrition and Health (BCNH) with distinction, and completed a Masters Degree in Personalised Nutrition with CNELM and Middlesex University in 2017.

In 2019 she became a member of the British Society of Lifestyle Medicine (BSLM) and completed the Diploma in Lifestyle Medicine with the International Board of Lifestyle Medicine in 2020.

She combines both professions in her independent practice in East Yorkshire, with a special interest in the dietary management of acid reflux and the impact this can have on hoarse voice. Her other special interests include diabetes, gastrointestinal health, migraine and weight management.
